Stuart Tate

I believe somewhere I have a lot of photos of Scott on the KJ and other survey vessels used by GEMS survey when he was developing InfoX software. He was a man with many quirks, but a true legend and always there for a friend. A great loss. He would come offshore west Afirica get in to his cabin along with the stacks of programming books and boxes of pink salmon, sometimes not leaving it for weeks (though when he did, you knew he hadn’t been in the shower for a while). I remember having to pack his cabin once and send everything back to GEMS warehouse. Two pallets full of books and random stuff he had collected at the port o’ calls.
