Scott offers to sell rights to software and hardware

In October of 1994 Scott did something very unusual (for him). He offered to sell the his SIDA software source code, along with various hardware, to Seabeam Instruments Inc.

Part of the reason fior doing this was because, despite pulling in about $4M over the past six years for several RAN projects, the company was essentially broke. Scott attibuted this to “a history of poor business management and marketing of its product.” He also stated that “Insufficient and wrongly-directed marketing and business management, including over-investment in hardwqre inventory, has resulted in current poor financial status with insufficient funds to support future projects and development.”

The details are in a 16-page fax. You can read that by clicking this link.

I came across the fax a few days ago, but haven’t found a response. Though obviously the deal didn’t go through.
