Business Plan Scott wrote in 2008

Business Plan and Projections:

The following product types are what I generate income from through my company’s Info Express Ltd and Info Express Inc.

Software sales:

A few years ago I developed a new side-scan-sonar topside acquisition system.  It is used in the oil and gas offshore ocean survey industry.  I also in the past year have developed three device intergraded system called GA-X using side-scan-sonar, sub-bottom seismic and magnetometer devices all together.  The first system sells for £16300.00 and the second sells for £25000.00.

Software leasing:

I only sell acquisition software, but to post-process the data collected, the client will need my InfoX post-processing suite.  I only lease this software and is based on the number of days it took to collect, ie. a day-rate of £170.00 for every day it took to collect the data with my acquisition software.  If the client has three ships at sea working on a survey, I would receive three day-rates for that day, one for each ship.

Personal onsite aboard ship time:

This is for my time that I work on client sites, ie. Ships and client offices, I charge a rate of £325.00 if the consultation in support of my systems.  This is mostly for training, installing, troubleshooting and enhancing the product.  If my industry expertise is being needed I charge £500.00 for this.  The client pays for all travel, supplies and expenses.

Sonar hardware sales:

I am also an agent for C-Max Sonar’s.  This is the hardware device that is towed behind the ship that maps the ocean floor at depth.  This device connects into my side-scan-sonar topside acquisition system for which the seabed is mapped.  The average sonar kit sells for £39700.00 if which I profit 20%.

With the software sales and leasing having little or no overheads, I have been investing the profits into a new direction that will enhance and synergise my ocean survey business, this is marine equipment and boat building.

Six month Projections:

GEMS Survey Ltd. is currently my main client, I intend to start marketing for more clients in the first quarter of 2009, when I get done refining my latest GA-X system.  Over the past four years we have had a very good working relationship and a mutual commitment to the future (see attached To Whom It May Concern).

Software Sales:

GEMS Survey Ltd. has committed to the purchase of three GA-X system at a value of £75000.00 (see attached Letter Of Intent to Purchase) and the delivery schedule over the next months (see attached Memorandum).  Payments will be in delivery stages with full payment by October.

Software leasing:

GEMS Survey Ltd. has committed to leasing my InfoX post-processing systems for a minimum of 250 days for the year 2008 totalling £42500.00 (see attached PO 80020/NCA).  From January to June 146 days have been leased, leaving 104 days left from June to the end of the year, amounting to £17680.00. GEMS however have had many new contracts sense that PO was issued and I know there will be a revision upwards soon.

Personal onsite aboard ship time:

GEMS Survey Ltd. has committed to using my personal services onsite for a total of 75 days totalling £24375.00 (see attached PO’s 80781/NCA and 80782/NCA).

In the next six months I have a revenue commitment of £75000 + £17680 + £24375 =  £117055.  I also have £28010 of invoices in the queue, due for payment in the next month.  I have plans to reinvest most of this money into my new boat building business.

These attached documents show current commitments from GEMS Survey Ltd. and in the next few months I see new projects that will be coming online.  I expect new contract PO in the near future.  Most certainly see extending leasing days.

My new development plans, is to start programming a new program to post-process the new Sub-Bottom seismic data, so to extend the need to lease my day-rate software.
