When we contracted to provide Scott’s advanced side-scan sonar gear, and Scott to help locate the SS Central America, we ere promised a small percentage of anything that was recovered…assuming something was.
But after the ship was located and a substantial portion of the gold recovered, it seemed like half the lawyers in the world filed suits to grab some of the loot.
Years later, about a year after Scott died, some of the contractors were finally paid off.
